OVERVIEW
During exploration, operators perform 3D seismic data interpretation, analyses and define drilling prospects/targets. Prior to rig approach, rig entry, emplacement and drilling, offshore site investigations are undertaken to assess presence of potential geohazards and their impact on planned activity. This course discusses all aspects of survey planning, operations and delivery of seabed and subsea bed parameters for rig entry, emplacement, and drilling.
What will you learn?
Geophysical Survey RequirementsΒ
Survey vessel and equipment
Geophysical operations
Geohazards Assessment for rig approach, emplacement and drilling
Estimate geophysical survey budget
Who should attend?
Geotechnical Survey Requirements
Geotechnical vessel and equipment
Geotechnical operations
Rig legs penetration analyses
Onshore laboratory testing
Estimate geotechnical survey budge

Dr Ouzani BachirΒ is a geoscientist and has obtained his first degree in geology from the USTHB University of Algiers and an M.Sc. and PhD in petroleum geology from the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
He has worked for the past 20 years in the oil and gas industry services and grown from a senior geophysicist at Thales Geo-solutions to project manager and Chief Operating Officer leading geophysical and geotechnical divisions of Java Offshore. As a senior geophysicist, he was in charge of seismic data quality control, interpretation, reporting and geohazards assessments for drilling locations, pipelines installations, platform construction and anchor planning and handling.
